Remember try not to stress about when your baby is going to walk and maybe cherish those final few months of crawling before life gets very interesting indeed.

My son started walking at 9 months and was a full time walker at 10 months and everyone was amazed. Some perfectly normal children don t walk until they re 16 or 17 months old. Every baby reaches the walking milestone at a different time. My daughter started walking at 10 months old almost skipping the crawling stage which lasted all of four weeks.

The cdc recommends talking to your child s pediatrician if they re not walking at all by 18 months and not walking steadily by age 2 so you have plenty of time even if your little one hasn. Although 10 months is considered within the realms of normal it s certainly not typical. If you had told me years ago that my baby would start walking and then almost immediately running at 9 months old i would have laughed in your face.
